Contemplating the Eagle.

Today is the last New Moon of 2016.  It is almost the beginning of a new year and the start of a 9 year cycle.
Last night I was drawn to pick up my animal spirit cards. I drew a card for myself.  It was the image of the Eagle. 
The 13 moon Mayan calendar glyph for today is the Eagle.  Blue Spectral Eagle, ruled by the throat charka and guided by vision. 
‘Spectral’ signifies tone 11 which creates the space for change.

The Eagle is a powerful totem.  The Romans, Greeks, Hittites, Aztecs, Christians, Native Americans and the US founding fathers have all used the Eagle as a symbols of power and strength.
Eagle has the strength to stand on the ground - to be grounded and the power to soar.  Gifted with keen eyesight, Eagle can see a long way.
Now is the time to activate your own vision.  Look within.  Listen to your heart and allow it to lead your way.  Reconnect with your spiritual path and push yourself.  Reach higher than you thought possible.  Spread your wings and rise above your current conflicts.  Let go of stagnant habits, patterns and beliefs which do not serve you any longer.  Let go of the need for others to do the work and begin to own your power the change the status quo for the greatest good of all.  You have the power to create the space for change in your life for the coming year as well as the next 9 years.  Visualize what you would like to see for yourself, your country, our Earth.  
As you set intentions today for the next phase and phases of your life, allow yourself to soar like the Eagle.
